Old Testament Be Crazy
What’s Up Heathens! Today on the Podcast we are going to be discussing Old Testament feast traditions and how they don’t make any kind of sense. I also have a bit of Mythicism knowledge worked in there around the middle and we figure out exactly what will get you kicked out of Jew-land.
First off we are still doing the laws of Moses but we are going section by section. Today’s section is a particular word heavy one and that is all the traditions surrounding the feasts of the Jewish people. Not only are they confusing to start with but at one point they play the mad hatter from Alice in Wonderland and start just alternating the names of them for no good reason. There are 3 major feasts discussed which are also pilgrim feasts. I’m guessing it has something to do with the may flower? They have a feast of chalupa bread which lasts for 7 days and if you don’t take part you will be shunned.
There is a weekly harvest of first fruits feast or something which occurs on the Pentecost or 50th day of whatever they are doing. Honestly, this just sounds like a lot of godly paperwork, red tape stuff. Of course there are different offering requirements between different books of the bible so that makes it even more confusing. Rosh Hashanah is mentioned. Yom Kippur is also mentioned when isn’t a day of feasting but a day of fasting. Then at the end they kill a lot of things in order to please this totally non-violent, non-prima donna, non-psychopathic lord on high.
