Christian To Atheist Is Never Easy
What’s Up Heathens! Today we are talking to hiith about his transformation from Christian to Atheist. He has an excellent youtube channel and produces positive videos for both Christians and Atheists.
hiith started out as a Catholic living with his mother who was a Catholic as well. Soon after that though, he became a Fundamentalist Christian which is what his dad was as well. As a fundy Christian, he was homophobic which didn’t help in his personal relationships. He recalls that one thing he had trouble with being a Christian was what happened to people that didn’t know about Christ. Did they go to hell? It didn’t seem right that they would go to hell just because they didn’t know. So he started to question his faith and it didn’t stop. hiith eventually left Christianity and became an atheist while he was 16/17 years old. He resorted to the online Atheist community to find the answers he needed. First, he found Logicked and TBR and really enjoyed their approach to the subject of religion and faith. Logicked being very straightforward with the answers and TBR dissecting the Bible.
hiith didn’t change all that much from being a Fundamentalist Christian with the exception of the homophobia. He highlights questioning your faith as the best advice that he can give any Christian.
