Wild Bill Hates Atheists

What’s Up Heathens! Today we have Wild Bill blatantly lying about Thomas Jefferson and the issue of God in public schools. He uses David Barton to inform is knowledge of the separation of Church and State. This causes him to present false information as fact.

First of all, he claims that atheism is the reason why the recent shooting happened. That is ridiculous to say. Atheism can’t cause a shooting but according to bill people not constantly pushing their religion on to kids is persecution and is kicking faith out of schools. The truth of the matter is that we haven’t kicked faith out of schools. We haven’t kicked God out of schools. A portion of the general population has started pushing back on Christian overreach. They legit see this as persecution.

Now, Wild Bill invokes Thomas Jefferson a couple of times to support his case of pushing god through the School system. The first time it’s about the Danbury Baptist letter. He interprets it as if Jefferson wanted a one way street between Church and State. That is completely opposite of what the letter says. Jefferson literally says a wall. Not half a wall, but a full wall preventing either side from affecting the two. It’s really unreasonable to Bill to interpret Jefferson as he does.

The next lie about Jefferson concerns his opinion on the Bible in Schools. He says that Jefferson wanted the Bible in the hands of children but he expressly stated the exact opposite. Jefferson actually stated that maybe we should teach children history instead of the Bible. Considering that Jefferson once constructed his own Bible without all the magic, I wouldn’t think that he wanted children studying the Bible.
