Are The Gospels Of The Bible Historical Documents?

They aren't

Today we start discussing whether the Bible is a historical document. Basically, Josh finds them to be historically accurate, while I, of course, do not.

He starts off by asking why I think Jesus didn't exist. It basically boils down to the fact that we don't have anything to cement him in history. The Gospels are not viable enough to do it and Paul admits he didn't get his information from any person. He got it from Scripture and Revelation, which is actually what the Gospels claim too.

We move from that the talk about the historicity of the Bible and why I feel that it is not sufficient enough to cement Jesus in history.
