Have Sex? Don't Believe in God? You're a prostitute...

Pastor John Piper

So there is this pastor named John Piper and recently he wrote a piece for Charisma News. He is pulling from this passage in the bible:

Now xthe Spirit expressly says that yin later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to zdeceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2 through the insincerity of aliars whose consciences are seared, 3 bwho forbid marriage and crequire abstinence from foods dthat God created eto be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For feverything created by God is good, and gnothing is to be rejected if it isereceived with thanksgiving, 5 for it is made holy hby the word of God and prayer.

1 Timothy 4:1-5

Piper goes on to explain the first three verses of the passage as:

For those who know the truth of the gospel and who revel in the word of God concerning the all-satisfying glory of God, and who pray (Hallowed be your name!) and dedicate everything to God, the sex of marriage and the pleasures of food are made holy—that is, they are set apart from the sinful use of the world and made pure and precious and beautiful by participation in the goodness of God.

Now when he says "(Hallowed be your name!)" that sounds like when muslims say "Peace Be Upon Him (PBUH)" after they mention their relevent kiddie fucking prophet. I find it hard to separate both of the religions in the first place other than they are differing opinions on the same base religion, Judaism.

Made Holy

What the fuck does it mean that they are made holy? Like can you place that concept in reality for me? I'm being very serious.

If "Holy" is the same as "morally ok", then what it's saying is that it's not morally ok to eat or have sex unless you're thanking god beforehand. What a fucking buzzkill before you get your hot steamy BDSM session going, by thanking god for allowing you to fuck your wife? First of all god isn't responsible for sex nor does a marriage make the sex inherently ok.

Marital rape happens whether christians want to admit it or not. So his assumption that christian sex is inherently ok, is just fucking false. The food bit is bullshit too because you get the same amount of nourishment from food whether or not you dedicate it to god or not. If it had any real effect, you would see a decrease in nourishment somehow.

Do not be afraid of Bewbs my son

He goes on to explain how christians shouldn't be afraid of sex but embrace the idea. Although the bible doess seem to seek to make you emphasize the chest of a woman rather than any other fucking feature like her personality, intellect, or other body parts...

NO SEX FOR YOU

Finally he gets to his point. Actual sex is only for real christians:

Paul says the opposite. It is the world that has stolen what belongs to believers. Sex belongs to Christians. Because sex belongs to God. "God created it to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth." If it is used by those who do not believe and know the truth, it is prostituted. They have exchanged the glory of God for images. They have torn sex from its God-appointed place in the orbit of marriage. But they do not know what they are doing. And the price they will pay in this life and the next is incalculable.

Yep. If you don't believe in god and are fucking / making love to your partner, then you're a prostitute? really dude? Those are some superman style mental gymnastics that even makes Clark Kent go "He's good". It's ironic that he says that those who have sex outside marriage don't know what they are doing yet it would be those that wait till marriage that would be the least inclined to have knowledge of how to sexually please another person.

The pleasures of sex are meant for believers. They are designed for their greatest expression by the children of God. He saves His richest gifts for his children. And as we enjoy His gift of sex, we say, by our covenant faithfulness to our spouse, that God is greater than sex. And the pleasures of sex are themselves an overflow of God's own goodness. This pleasure is less than what we will know fully in Him at His right hand. And in it, we taste something of His very exquisiteness.

If he actually saved sex for his true believers, would he put some kind of mechanism in us to only allow those that believe to actually enjoy sex? I mean if we were designed by him would he so some kind of security engineering so that people couldn't easily get around that shit? All you have to do is stick point a into point b and it feels good, when it's consenual and even when it hurts.

What about the curious case of Marital Rape? What about that Piper? Something tells me that there is nothing good about marital rape but by your explanation here it seems that marital rape can only be good because it's "an overflow of god's own goodness".
